The 898 m high rock Weingartner is the highest mountain in the district Schwandorf, belongs to the municipality Schoensee and lies directly on the border with the Czech Republic. To the north rises the Velky Zvon.

Is the Bohemian Forest lookout tower on its summit. The wooden structure was built in the early eighties and provides good views in all directions, especially to Bohemia. On a clear day you can see the highest peaks of the Bavarian Forest.

Starting points for a one-hour hike to the Bohemian Forest Lookout Tower are the parking lot at the former ski resort rich stone at the entrance of Stadlern or the parking lot, which is on the road, the village with Dieter Stadlern connects.
