Weisstannen

History

By 1300, the first Walser from Davos and Rheinwald settled in Weisstannental. The local church silver fir was founded in 1523. Already in 1500, the valley was densely populated. The Allmendfeld had to be protected and reserved for the " Heimstkühe " and the area are increasingly at Alp. White fir led about in 1523, community regulations, and immediately had its own authority. The first church was built in 1485 in the village of silver fir. It was in 1665 replaced by a new building. The present form of the church was built, following an expansion in 1828.
