The Weitmannsee lies to the east of the Lech river west of Kissing in Aichach- Friedberg (Schwaben, Bavaria).

The resulting by gravel mining Weitmannsee between Lech and Friedberger Ach is a large recreational area today. A large car park, swimming for children and adults, extensive sunbathing and playing fields, children 's playground, beach volleyball court, hiking trails, riverside walk ( 3 km), a restaurant with public toilet facilities and a DLRG station are available to visitors. The recreation area is accessible via the B2. Kuhsee, Auensee, Ilsesee and Mandichosee located near the Weitmannsee ( along the Lech ) and are also easy to reach by bicycle.
