Wellfleet Communications

Wellfleet Communications was a major U.S. network equipment.

The company in 1986 in Bedford (Massachusetts ) by Paul Severino, Bill Seifert, Steven Willis and David Rowe was founded. The company later moved to Billerica in 1992 and 1993 and was one of the fastest growing U.S. technology companies. Wellfleet manufactured mainly network equipment such as routers. In 1994 they merged with the kaliforniachen network company SynOptics Communications to Bay Networks.
