Welplagebach

The snake creek near Gütersloh - Nordhorn

The Welplagebach, called Reinke creek and in the middle reaches of a snake creek in the headwaters, is an orographic left tributary of the Lutter in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. It has a length of 16.9 km.

River course

The Welplagebach arises as Reinke creek south of Gütersloh hamlet Friedrichsdorf and flows from the west. The Reinke stream first traverses rural meadows and is jammed after about three kilometers north-west of flow distance Avenwedde - center to the local dialect, also known as " Avenwedder See " Stormwater retention basin Reinke Bach.

In the course of the waters largely forms the northern border of the Gütersloh settlement center of gravity and is called in this area snake creek. Located northwest of Gutersloh happened the snake river the grounds of the used by the British Army Princess Royal Barracks.

After the right side of an unnamed tributary, flowing from the peasantry Oester 3.5 km long creek the waters again changes its name and will henceforth be referred to as Welplagebach. About 200 meters after the inflow of Talgrabens opens the Welplagebach then in the Lutter.
