Wenchi

Wenchi is a place in the Brong- Ahafo Region in the West African nation of Ghana. Wenchi is the capital of the Wenchi District.

At the last census of the country on 26 March 2000, there were 28 141 inhabitants in the city. Extrapolations from 1 January 2007 estimate the population to 32,735 inhabitants. Even in the census of the year 1984 18.583 inhabitants were listed, in 1970, the population was 13,836 inhabitants.

Currently, the city is located at the 46th position in the list of the largest cities in Ghana.
