Wendell Sailor

Wendell Jermaine Sailor (born 16 July 1974 in Sarina, Queensland, Australia ) is a former Australian rugby union and rugby league player. He was Australia's national team in two variants.

Career

Sailor started his career in 1993 at the Brisbane Broncos. He developed into one of the best players in the world and won in 2000 World Cup with the national team of Australia. For the Broncos, he played along with Lote Tuqiri. Sailor joined in November 2001, the code Tuqiri took a year after later.

Sailor was initially remain active for Queensland, the Reds committed him to the Super 14 tournament. In his first year as a union player he also gave his debut for the Wallabies, the Australian national team. He arrived at the World Cup in 2003 the final, but could not win as it was previously succeeded him in the rugby league code the title. In 2006 he moved from the Reds to the Waratahs. Shortly after his move, he was tested positive for cocaine and banned for two years.

In 2008, Sailor continued his career, he played rugby league again. The St George Illawarra Dragons had obliged him. In November 2009, he announced end of his career. He will work in the coming years in the marketing department of the Dragons.
