Wendy Chamberlin

Wendy Jean Chamberlin ( born October 12, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland) is an American diplomat.

She held several posts and was among others Deputy Chef de Mission at the Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, U.S. Ambassador to Laos (1996-1999) and Pakistan (2001-2002) and on Februar until June 2005 in Acting High Commissioner for Refugees function United Nations, after Ruud Lubbers resigned.

Currently, she is president of the Middle East Institute.
