Life

Your singing career began Wendy Rene together with her brother Johnny Frierson as part of the group The Drapels. But on the initiative of its music label Stax Records, she launched a solo career. Your first and biggest hit After Laughter Comes Tears was released in 1964 and was actually taken up by the whole group, The Drapels, but only attributed to her alone in the publication of Stax Records. The song was sampled in Tearz by Wu -Tang Clan on whose first album, Enter the Wu -Tang (36 Chambers ). Alicia Keys sang a modified version of the song on its 2007 album As I am also in the films Head-On and Lucky Number Slevin, the song is used.

Wendy Rene later lived with her family in Memphis and sang in a gospel choir.
