Werner Fuetterer

Werner Fuetterer ( born January 10, 1907 in Barth, † February 7, 1991 in Benidorm ) was a German actor.

Life

Fuetterer grew up in Guatemala, where his father ran a hacienda. 1919, the family returned to Germany and settled in Lübeck. In the fall of 1924 he was admitted to the Berlin drama school. Due to a surprising movie offering from Sweden in late 1924 he left drama school early.

As a youthful lover Fuetterer was a sought-after silent movie actor of the twenties quickly. His most significant role this time he played as Archangel Michael in the film adaptation of thumb - a German folk tale. Soon he remained but only minor roles. He often acted as a good friend of the main character, as in the films The pattern Riihmann husband and I entrust to my wife. Fuetterer played alongside theater and also undertook from 1937 to 1939 a tour of the USA.

After the war he was able to continue his career easily and served for many years as chairman of the now defunct Association of German film actor. Since 1957 he has lived in Spain and operated a camping and bungalow complex.
