Scomberomorus TRITOR

Scomberomorus TRITOR is a fish of the family of the mackerels and tunas, and is also important in commercial fishing. Spread this species is on the west coast of Africa and the western Mediterranean. Some authors see Scomberomorus TRITOR as a synonym of Scomberomorus maculatus.

Description

The este dorsal fin consists of 15 to 18 hard jets, the second dorsal fin from 16 to 19 soft rays. The anal fin has 17 to 20 soft rays. Distribution, habitat and biology

This species is common on the west coast of Africa and in the Mediterranean Sea from southern Angola to Tunisia and Spain, also on the south coast of France to Italy and in the northern Adriatic comes Scomberomorus TRITOR ago.
