Wheelchair curling at the 2006 Winter Paralympics

In the IX. 2006 Winter Paralympics were held a competition in wheelchair curling. The tournament take part in eight mixed curling teams. The competitions were held between the 12th and 18th March 2006. Venue was the Palaghiaccio Pinerolo Pinerolo, 50 kilometers southwest of Turin.

Mode

The tournament will be held in two phases. In the first phase occurs in a round- robin system to each team against each of the seven other teams. The four-point best teams will qualify for the semi-finals. If at the end of the preliminary round, one or more teams be equal on points, tie-breaks will be held.

The winners of the two semi-final matches to determine the final of the Olympic champion, the two losing semi-finalists the winner of the bronze medal.
