Criticism

Entertainment Weekly evaluated Rhymes second album with a grade of "B". Busta Rhymes remain despite the help by Puff Daddy and Erykah Badu, the original voice of hip-hop ( " Busta Rhymes [ ... ] remains hip -hop 's most original voice; still, Despite help from Puffy Combs and Erykah Badu "). From the perspective of the editors When Disaster Strikes but does not look like a cohesive album ( "this comes off more like a free - associative collision of skits and verbal pyrotechnics than a coherent album ").

Steve Huey wrote a review for All Music Guide, in which he described the two singles compilations taken Dangerous and Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See as great. The second half of the album could because of the numerous guest musicians who can not replace Busta Rhymes and mostly are rather boring, unconvincing ( "The second half of the album slows down the momentum somewhat, with a bevy of guests, collaborations, and posse cuts, a few offer some welcome variety, but Often They Do not replace Rhymes ' manic energy with anything quite as exciting " ). .
