While Heaven Wept

While Heaven Wept (often abbreviated as WHW ) is an epic doom band from Virginia, USA.

The band plays music similar to Solitude Aeturnus or Solstice. From the album " Of Empires Forlorn " of 2003, the style is, however, become much more progressive and metallic, which is audible from 2009 particularly on the album " Vast Oceans Lachrymose ". Above all, this album got all the important scene magazines very good reviews.

Earlier the band's albums contained much guttural vocals similar to Death Metal. The song is now clear, however, albeit sometimes quite aggressive.

In the song lyrics are traditionally mainly to personal problems.
