Whirlpool Corporation ( NYSE: WHR ) is an American manufacturer of major home appliances headquartered in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

With annual sales of more than 18 billion U.S. dollars, 71,000 employees and 67 manufacturing and technology research centers around the world sells whirlpool its products under the brands Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn- Air, Amana, Bauknecht, brastemp, Gladiator Garage Works, privilege and other brand name.

History

In 1911 the Upton Machine Co. was founded in St. Joseph, Michigan, USA. The start of production began with washing machines with electric drive.
