Whirlpool Productions
Whirlpool Productions is the name of a Cologne house project of musician and producer Eric D. Clark, Justus Köhncke and Hans Nieswandt.
History and Background
Whirlpool Productions was founded in 1991. The project is known for its unconventional, experimental sound, which continued to influence bands like Sensorama or Egoexpress. With their disco hit From Disco to Disco them succeeded in Italy in the summer of 1997, a number - one success, which allowed a television appearance in a hit parade show.
The musicians were also journalists in the old editors of the music magazine Spex and therefore always interested in the theoretical side of their activities. They occur today mainly as a DJs. Hans Nieswandt reported in his book plusminuseight about his memories of House in the 1990s.
