White Denim

White Denim are an American indie rock band from Austin, Texas.

Band History

In 2005, drummer Josh Block and guitarist and vocalist James Petr Alli joined by the rock band Parque Torch along with the, bassist Steve Terebecki from a band called Peach Train and founded White Denim. After two years, they released their first EP entitled Let's Talk About It, and shortly thereafter the EP Workout Holiday. The trio set off the existing material then in 2008 together their first LP exploded. Since the band was also active in the UK, they just finished a little later a second album for the British fans with the title fits, which appeared later in the USA. Just one year later, there was the third album, also the band in 2010 to the second guitarist Austin Jenkins has been extended. Until then, their albums were, however, faded away without much resonance.

This changed in 2011 when they found a new label Downtown Records. The album titled D made ​​it into the U.S. Heatseeker charts in 16th place for the fifth album could be the four musicians from White Denim then more time. In addition, they helped Jeff Tweedy of the band Wilco, with which they had been on tour with the production. The album Corsicana Lemonade marked a breakthrough came in 2013, and not only in the U.S. but also in Britain in the official charts.
