White Horse Temple

The temple of the white horse, (Chinese白马 寺, Pinyin Báimǎ Sì, Wade- Giles: Paima szu ) was according to tradition, the first Buddhist temple in China. He is 68 AD under Emperor Ming of the Eastern Han Dynasty in Luoyang, have been founded its capital. The temple complex was under the Ming Dynasty ( 1368-1644 ) and the subsequent Qing Dynasty ( 1644-1912 ) repeatedly redesigned, major changes took place in the 1950s and after the destruction of the Cultural Revolution. In recent times, after the turn of the millennium, the temple complex were also attached replicas famous tourist sanctuaries of India and Thailand. This is the cultural cooperation between the countries concerned with China are underlined. The replica of the Indian temple is the Sanchi Stupa, completed in 2008, when under construction Thai area around a replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda.
