Reception

Allmusic rated the album with only an average of two and a half out of five. In particular, the production is considered to be too smooth and criticized the absence of hooks.

The German music magazine Visions recorded the album, however, in its lists of " best albums of the 90's " (No. 32 ) and the " 150 albums for eternity " (No. 44). Also in the list of the " 500 CDs You Must Own Before You Die " by the U.S. magazine Blender and the " 500 best albums of all time ( Rolling Stone ) " it appears. The magazine Rock Hard placed the album at number 123 of its comprehensive 500 items leaderboard. Frank Albrecht wrote on the board were " the best songs of Social Distortion have ever written.
