White nationalism

White power (in the sense of: White power ) is a frequently used key concept in the neo-Nazi scene. The term White power and the symbol of the White Power fist emerged as a provocation of the Ku Klux Klan against the Black Power slogan of the civil rights movement of African Americans in the United States. Apprehended it was used by the British neo-Nazi Ian Stuart, singer of the band Skrewdriver, who established it as comprehensive motto for the Nazi and racist theory of the supremacy of the " white race ".

The white, clenched, upward, usually right fist is one of the world's most commonly used symbols in the neo-Nazi environment. The fist is often enclosed by the white lettering also White Power (WP), Supreme White Power (SWP ) or White Pride World Wide ( WPWW ). In the right skinhead scene the fist is also often shown in a laurel wreath.

Another frequently standing in conjunction with White Power symbol is the Celtic cross. Since November 14, 2008 wearing the stylized Celtic Cross ( shown at right ) is a criminal offense in Germany.

Unilever uses the phrase as an advertising slogan for toothpaste.
