The Vienna Matzleinsdorf stop Platz der ÖBB is located in the 10th district of Vienna, favorites; the underground tram stops are located in the 5th district, Margaret. The station was opened in 1969 and is a major transportation hub in Vienna's transport. Also located next to the stop the operational center of the main station. It consists of sidings for locomotives and cars, including a workshop.

History

When Matzleinsdorf place there was originally a station that fell to the expansion of the freight station to the victim. 1903 negotiations were opened for re- establishment, but this led to no result.

To unbundle the freight train from a new route on the north edge of the freight station was built and sail from 27 June 1969 between Meidling and the high-speed railway tunnel. There is also the built in high position stop Matzleinsdorf space that was taken three months later on 28 September, in operation. Since December 2009, regional trains stop at this station, since December 2010, the platform also served by a lift.

In order to disentangle the ever-increasing traffic from then 24,000 vehicles daily at the traffic junction Matzleinsdorf Place / Margaret Belt, the city end of this street up, the two-lane underpass was posted on December 22, 1951 released as part of the belt as the first of their kind in Vienna for traffic.

The continued increase in private transport caused the urban planner to set up a sub-surface tramway, named Ustrab. The plant at Südgürtel together with the transport structure Matzleinsdorf course was opened on 11 January 1969. In the course of also Vienna's first " rolling carpet ", a moving sidewalk to speed up the underground pedestrian traffic and to facilitate the long walkways was built for older people.

The entire system (without train stop ) consisted of nine entrances, six escalators and stairs eleven. In the years 2002 to 2009, the Ustrab plant was retrofitted with lifts, closed in return the northern access to Reinprechtsdorferstraße and Wiedner Hauptstrasse. The moving walkway was closed down in the 1990s and expanded in a row. In the years 2010 to 2011, the station was modernized and brought into line with the metro standard.

Plant

The S -Bahn stop in high position has a covered central platform with two tracks. The platform is accessible from the former banking hall at street level by an escalator and an elevator.

The Ustrab station in deep level has a track triangle and three platforms with double stops. This underground crossing facility is secured signally with two independent systems. All platforms as well as the location under the railway bridge between the roadways bus stop are barrier-free.
