Wilder Pfaff

The Wilder Pfaff seen from Sulzenauferner from

The Wilder Pfaff is 3456 m above sea level. A. one of the highest mountains in the Stubai Alps, Tyrol and lies directly on the border between Austria and Italy.

The western neighbors of the Wilder Pfaff is Zuckerhütl ( 3507 m ), which is the ultimate goal of many climbers as the highest mountain in the Stubai Alps. The Wilder Pfaff is climbed almost exclusively in the context of a Zuckerhütlbesteigung and offers an impressive view of its higher neighbors. From Pfaffensattel ( 3340 m), which is located between the two peaks, the Wilde Pfaff is not difficult to reach in about 20 minutes on his back West. From the Mullerhutte he is to climb in little more difficult, partly exposed climbing on its east ridge at 1 hour ( Difficulty I UIAA ). Additions to Pfaffensattel of the Sulzenauhütte, Dresdner hut or the Hildesheimer Hütte as the climb to Mueller hut cross the glacier and require appropriate experience and equipment.
