Wildstorm

( Often written Wildstorm ) Wildstorm Productions, or shortly Wildstorm, was an American comic book publisher.

History

Wildstorm was at its inception in 1992, a studio at Image Comics, but belonged since 1999 to DC Comics. The publishing house was founded by Jim Lee, who derived the name of his comic series WildC.ATS and Stormwatch. DC intended soon to incorporate the Wildstorm characters in his universe, which was conducted in the wake of Infinite Crisis ( 2005/2006). The Wildstorm stories played in the following in the DC Multiverse on Earth - 50th In December 2010, Wildstorm imprint was dissolved as of DC Comics. During the reboot of the DC Universe in 2011 (The New 52 ) was the merging on an Earth with the known DC heroes (such as Batman and Superman ).

Title

Wildstorm published ordinary American comics, but also had the license for titles of movies and esp. computer games, so a wide range has been covered. The main fictional universe ( Wildstorm Universe ) harbored typical superhero with different stories. Frequently published series about superheroes groupings (eg WildC.ATS ) and rarely by individual characters (eg Midnighter ).
