Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker

Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker (* November 4, 1753 in Upper Call Berg, † June 3, 1813 in Dresden) was man of letters and art writer.

Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker taught since 1776 at the Philanthropinum Dessau, in 1782 professor at the Knight's Academy in Dresden. He received in 1795 the supervision of the Dresden Gallery Antiques and the Numismatic and united with it since 1805 this via the Green Vault. He died on 3 June 1813 in Dresden.
