Life

Even as an apprentice with the company Hengstler, a manufacturer of electro- mechanical meters, he realized that rigid concepts in business developments can not cope in the world of work. In 1964 he went with his family to New York, where he Hengstler branch HECON Corporation built together with Paul Buser and including the KeyCounter invented, in 1966 the U.S. patent was awarded. The late 1960s, Haller returned to Germany and began intensively with the flexibility of working time to deal, developed concepts for the flexitime, the variable working hours and annual working time. On the basis of industrial meters Haller developed the first time recording devices without that would not be a successful implementation of flexible working hours possible. This instrument allowed for the first time to grasp the actual hours worked by employees and not just start and end of working time - in the late 1960s, a revolution. To introduce a wider public to its flexible working time concepts and make them popular, Haller created the Swabian English slogan " Ai laik flextime ," which caused a lot of conversation and numerous as stickers cars graced. His ideas and concepts made him the "Father of flexitime " and meant that was discussed nationwide on more flexible working hours and she was able to win by one. Not only in Germany but worldwide, his counsel was asked as flextime expert.

In the basic functions of the system conforms to the standard today for any time management systems. Many more products and patents belong to Haller's inventions.

Haller built the company on the basis of progressive management concepts. Employee motivation has played a central role. The idea was that one-third of the profits should be distributed under each of the investors, employees and aid projects. A rarity for that time was also the active involvement of employees in decision-making processes. Willi Haller never saw himself as a boss, but as part of a team that was for all the recognized and competent manager anyway. His concepts were seen around the world. Flexible working hours have changed the world of work seriously. Millions of workers will benefit from this every day.
