Wilhelm Salomon Freund

Wilhelm Salomon friend ( born September 28, 1831 in Schmiegel; † August 27, 1915 in Breslau) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag.

Life

Friend studied law in Breslau and was since 1856 where he worked as a lawyer. In 1871 he was elected there to the City Council and from 1887 until his death he was there City Council President. He was elected to the Silesian Bar Association and in 1884 was for 30 years the head. He was an honorary citizen of the city of Wroclaw and an honorary doctor of law school.

He also was a member of the Silesian Province parliament and from 1876 to 1879 member of the Prussian House of Representatives. On 21 February 1879, he was elected in a special election for the late Heinrich citizen deputies in the Reichstag for the electoral district of Wroclaw 7 (Breslau western part) and the German Progress Party. He remained its member until the end of its term in 1881. Friend, where he worked at the Lawyers 'Act and the Lawyers' Fees as Chairman of the respective committees.

His son, the Münster pharmacologist Hermann friend who was a victim of the Holocaust, the children of Walther and Rudolf managed to escape.
