Wilier Triestina

Wilier is an Italian bicycle manufacturer based in Rossano Veneto, Italy.

Wilier was founded in 1906 by Pietro Dal Molin from Bassano del Grappa to build racing bicycles. In 1945 the company was officially renamed Wilier Triestina and sent in the following year for the first time a dedicated team for the Giro d' Italia, the first held after the Second World War. With some stage wins Wilier surprised not only the competition but also became one of the most sought after bike manufacturer in Italy.

1952 was forced to declare bankruptcy due to the poor economy Wilier Triestina. In 1969, the remains of the company was bought by the brothers Gastaldello and production of racing wheels began again.
