Willem Scholten

Willem Scholten ( born June 1, 1927 in Deventer, † January 1, 2005 in Leidschendam ) was a Dutch politician.

Life

Willem Scholten studied from 1945 to 1950 in Rotterdam. He was a member of the CHU and later the CDA. He has held senior positions in the Finance Ministry, at times he was also a member of the European Parliament. On 1 July 1997 he was appointed Minister of State. From July 1997 to December 1999 Scholten was president of the advisory panel " financiële tegoeden WO- II" in the Netherlands. On 15 December 1999, the final report of the Commission was published.

Scholten died at the age of 77 years.
