William Corin

William Corin ( born October 13, 1867 in Kent, England; † March 2, 1929 in Sydney) was an Anglo- Australian electrical engineer who produced the early drafts of the Snowy Mountains Hydro - system in Australia.

Corin attended King 's College School and University College in London. He worked as a civil engineer. In 1891, he was an electrical engineer and in 1895 he emigrated to Tasmania, where he built the Duck Reach Power Station.

In 1907 he became chief electrical engineer of the New South Wales Department of Public Works.

In 1923 he founded a private consulting firm.

The Corin Dam in the Australian Capital Territory is named after him.
