William d'Aubigny, 2nd Earl of Arundel

William d' Aubigny, 2nd Earl of Arundel (* before 1150, † December 24, 1193, buried in Wymondham Abbey, Norfolk ) was the son of William d' Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel and Adelaide of Louvain, the widow of king Henry I of England.

1176/77 he was confirmed as Earl of Sussex, during King Henry II, the Earldom of Arundel once moved as completed. It was not until King Richard the Lionheart made ​​him on June 27, 1190 to the Earl of Arundel (where he has been called in September 1189 as Earl of Arundel ). 1191 he was appointed curator of Windsor Castle.

He married Matilda de Saint- Hilaire de Harcouet, daughter and heiress of James and Aveline, widow of Roger de Clare, Earl of Hertford († 1173 ) (Clare (Family) ). Their children are:
