William de Croÿ (bishop)

Guillaume de Croy (* 1498, † January 6, 1521 in Worms ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Since August 15, 1516 Bishop of Cambrai, Pope Leo X raised him on April 1, 1517 and made him cardinal on May 25, 1517, Cardinal Priest of the titular church of Santa Maria in Aquiro. After he was appointed on 31 December 1517 Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Toledo, he resigned on August 17, 1519 to the bishopric of Cambrai. He died on January 6, 1521 during the Diet of Worms in a riding accident while hunting.
