William F. Baker (engineer)

William Frazier "Bill" Baker ( born October 9, 1953 in Fulton, Missouri ) is an American engineer. He has become known for the construction of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in March 2008 in the world. William F. Baker studied at the University of Missouri (Bachelor) and the University of Illinois ( Masters). In 1981, he joined the architectural firm Skidmore, and Merrill (SOM ) in Owings in Chicago, whose partner he became in 1996.
