William H. Wilmarth

William Henry " Bill" Wilmarth ( born August 3, 1904 in Milan, † January 25, 1999 in Ojai ) was an American sound engineer and Toneffektmixer. He was twice nominated for an Academy Award.

Life

William H. Wilmarth was the first time in 1933 involved in the movie musical ciboulette by Claude Autant - Lara as a sound engineer. Until 1961 ( Robur, the Lord of the seven continents ), he worked on about 85 films. In the 1950s he worked as a sound engineer and in early television (The Liberace Show, The Dodge Dancing Party ). Mid -1930s, he worked in France. Highlights of the career were two nominations for the Academy Award for best special effects. 1942 Wilmarth was nominated by Lawrence W. Butler for Lord Nelson's last love, but they were subject I Wanted Wings. The following year he was again nominated with Butler, but their dirigierter by Zoltan Korda film The Jungle Book Cecil B. DeMille was subject to pirate in the Caribbean Sea.
