William Katt

William Katt ( born February 16, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film and television actor.

Life

William Katt was the son of actor Bill Williams (previously: " William Katt " ) and actress Barbara Hale born. He attended Orange Coast College before he began a career as a musician. He also devoted himself to acting and had first appeared in small television roles. His early film roles that a student in Brian De Palma's cult film Carrie from 1976 and the role of the Sundance Kid heard in the film Butch and Sundance: . The Early Days of 1978 Katt also spoke of the role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars ( 1977 ), which then went to Mark Hamill.

In 1981 Katt in the TV series The Greatest American Hero, the role of Ralph Hinkley, a cute shy teacher who gets a flying suit of aliens. He played this role until the end of the series in 1983. Though Katt always felt uncomfortable in his costume, this remained his most famous role to date.

In 1981 he played the title character in the musical Pippin. 1986 Katt portrayed the male lead role in the comedy / horror cult film " House - The Horror House ". From 1987, Katt played the character of detective Paul Drake Jr. in the Perry Mason TV series, in which he appeared alongside his mother, Barbara Hale. He also played the lead role of a politician in 1989 in the TV series Top of the Hill in 1991 and a role in the TV show Good Sports.

Katt is in the surfer community due to its role as Barlow in the film Big Wednesday well known, released on 26 May 1978. In 2004 he received great applause of enthusiastic surfing pros, as he presented one of the prizes of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP ) at the annual World Championship Tour (WCT).

William Katt married on February 16, 1981 his present wife Deborah Kahne and has two sons.
