William McKinney

William " Bill" McKinney ( born September 17, 1895 in Cynthiana, Kentucky, † October 14, 1969 ) was an American jazz drummer and bandleader, head of McKinney 's Cotton Pickers.

McKinney worked as a drummer in a circus band and headed to his military service in World War I in Springfield, Ohio, the " Synco Jazz Band ", which he left to play the drums Cuba Austin. After tours not only in the Midwest, but to California, she resided in 1926 at the Arcadia Ballroom in Detroit. After them Jean gold chain had procured a lucrative appearance in the Greystone Hotel Ballroom, they called themselves " McKinney 's Cotton Pickers. " The Musical Director was Don Redman.
