William Murphy (Irish politician)

William Murphy (Irish Liam Ó Murchu, * February 12, 1892, † November 16, 1967 ) was an Irish politician (Fine Gael ).

Murphy in 1951 for Fine Gael in the Clare constituency elected to the 14th Dáil Éireann. He was re-elected four times altogether in this constituency. When he died in November 1967 during the 18th Dáil, the candidate of the Fianna Fáil Sylvester Barrett was elected to the Dáil Éireann to neuzubesetzen the vacant seat in the subsequent by-election.
