William Prince (actor)

William Prince ( born January 26, 1913 in Nichols, New York, † October 8, 1996 in Tarrytown, New York ) was an American actor who starred in several soap operas and had dozens of guest appearances on other television series.

Life and work

After his film career in the late 1940s, Prince moved to television in the 1950s and had several appearances on such series as Studio One, Philco Television Playhouse, and Armstrong Circle Theatre. He also had roles in several soap operas such as Young Dr. Malone, Another World, As the World Turns, The Edge of Night, and A World Apart, where he often appeared with his fellow actress Augusta Dabney. He also had some film appearances, such as Cyrano de Bergerac, in the comedy I 'm you, in the action thriller The man who never gives up (1977) and as a Network - President Edward Ruddy in Paddy Chayefskys Film Network.

During the 1970s, 1980s and the early 1990s Prince had several guest appearances on dozens of series.
