Willow Creek AVA

Willow Creek AVA is a recognized since August 18, 1983 wine-growing region in the U.S. state of California.

Location

The vineyards here are spread over the County Humboldt County and Trinity County in northern California, near the town of Willow Creek. Located within the Klamath Mountains is the small vineyards part of the National Forest of the U.S. Forest Service, the Six Rivers National Forest. Nowadays, there are 4 hectares of vineyards and only two self-marketing winemakers who use this appellation. This was not always so, as a few years ago five winemakers shared about 12 hectares of vineyards.
