Wim Van Huffel

Wim Van Huffel ( born May 25, 1979 in Oudenaarde ) is a former Belgian cyclist.

Life

Van Huffel was founded in 2002 in the Belgian professional cycling team Vlaanderen- T Interim. Within three years he was able to Hel van Het 2003 Mergelland win. In addition, he was eighth at the 2004 Tour of Austria. Then he received a contract with the Belgian ProTour team Davitamon -Lotto for 2005. Here he showed in the Giro d' Italia excellent performance. He stopped in the mountains in the front area and was in the overall ranking eleventh. His best stage results were a fourth and a fifth place. He was also in the same year of the Twelfth Dauphine Libere and was on the fourth stage to Mont Ventoux third parties.

On March 29, 2010 Wim Van Huffel announced that he ended his career. From the 12th of April, he will take up the service in the Belgian army. According to his own statements to him cycling has become financially insecure.

The 1.82 m wide and 66 kg Van Huffel is nicknamed Snuffel.
