Windy Peak

Windy Peak is a distinctive, 1910 m high summit in the West Antarctic Heritage Range, the southern part of the Ellsworthgebirges. The mountain is part of the Founders Peaks and is located about 3.7 kilometers southwest of the southern end of the Reuther nunataks.

It received its name from a geological expedition of the University of Minnesota, the 1963/64, explored the area. They named it after the very strong winds that always ruled here during the visits of the expedition.
