Winston Tubman

Winston Tubman ( born 1941 ) is a Liberian politician and diplomat.

Life

Tubman is the nephew of former President of Liberia William S. Tubman. He studied law at the London School of Economics, at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and at Harvard University in the United States. In 1968, Tubman in Liberia his own law firm and became a consultant for the Liberian Ministry of Planning and Economic relations during the reign of his uncle.

From 1979 to 1981 Tubman Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations. Under President Samuel K. Doe, he served from 1982 to 1983 Minister of Justice of his country. Tubman is chairman of the party Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).
