Wintersleep

Wintersleep is a Canadian indie rock band from Halifax.

The band was founded in 2002. The first own album released the musician in 2003 at the Canadian Independent Music Label Dependent. In 2006 the band signed a contract with EMI and made public the first two albums with new bonus tracks. In addition to the activity in the band, the musicians play in various other bands. The band appeared on, among other things as the opening act for Pearl Jam, Editors and The Tragically Hip. In October 2007, published Wintersleep 's third album "Welcome to the Night Sky". This was nominated in the category " Alternative Album of the Year " for the Juno Award 2008. In the same year, the band won the Juno in the category " New Group of the Year".
