Wiseman is an American city ( census-designated place ) in Alaska ( Yukon - Koyukuk Census Area ) with about 20 inhabitants ( 2000). Wiseman is in the Brooks Range and was founded by gold miners, the (now Coldfoot ) left around 1919 Slate Creek. Three miles away from Wiseman is the Dalton Highway, with which the place is connected since the 1990s.
