Witold Wawrzyczek

Witold Wawrzyczek ( May 22nd, 1973 in Rybnik, Poland ) is a Polish footballer. The 1.93 m wide left-back played for nearly seven years in the first and second German Bundesliga.

Clubs

From his youth club Odra Wodzisław Wawrzyczek changed in early 1994 to Ruch Chorzow in the Polish first league. In 1997 he came to Germany to Energie Cottbus, with the 2000 promotion to the first Bundesliga. 2002 Wawrzyczek went to Karlsruher SC, from where he returned after a year in Poland. There he played one season for Szczakowianka Jaworzno and for Cracovia Krakow. In 2005 he returned to Germany and played for six months for Dynamo Dresden, from where he moved to Greek club GS Diagoras Rodos. In October 2006, he went from there to his present club, the Polish second division GKS Jastrzębie.

Statistics

During his time in Germany Wawrzyczek came to 13 scoreless Bundesliga inserts. He was more successful in the Bundesliga 2: In 106 games he scored eleven goals here, ten of them for Cottbus, once he was successful for Dresden. Wawrzyczeks biggest success was the rise in the Bundesliga with Energie Cottbus in 2000.
