The Witt Gendorf water, also Witt Gendorf Bach, is a six kilometer long river, which flows through the village Wittgendorf. It rises on the southwestern edge of the forest of the upper forest, the southwest slope of Steinberg's flows down and ends finally north of Drausendorf in the Lusatian Neisse. On his way, Witt Gendorf water is fed from the Romereifeldgraben and other small streams. The banks of the creek are mostly supported by columns of pentagonal basalt.

Like many streams and rivers of Upper Lusatia, the creek leads seasonally strongly varying amounts of water. Due to the sparse forest cover of surrounding it came earlier during heavy rainfall often floods. The last major flood disaster is recorded for the night from 17 to 18 May 1887. Although this only lasted an hour, it called for seven lives and caused a loss of 90,000 marks.

Today, the water of the stream is mainly used for extinguishing the fire brigade. These special suction points were excavated. Nevertheless, a summer use is usually not possible because the Witt Gendorf water leads to this time of year very little water.
