Wolf von Lojewski

Wolf of Lojewski ( born July 4, 1937 in Berlin ) is a German television journalist.

Life and work

As the son of the editor and author Erich von Lojewski he grew up in East Prussia, where his family owned a large estate in Gerdauen. After the expulsion by the Red Army, he lived in Cuxhaven and Kiel, where he attended grammar school in Kiel until 1957. After graduation, he joined one of the first recruits into the armed forces. Later he studied law and put 1966 the first legal state exam. He gained journalistic experience as editor of the student newspaper The sketch and the Kieler Nachrichten.

ARD

His television career began Wolf of Lojewski with reports and presentations in television regional program of the NDR. For the ARD he was from 1971 to 1974, so in the years of the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal, as a U.S. correspondent in Washington. Then he took over the moderation of the world mirror and the issues of the day. From 1982 he worked for the documentary series Around Big Ben in the UK. For the years 1987-1991, he went again to Washington.

ZDF

Wolf of Lojewski was from 1 March 1992 to 2 January 2003 Director and Moderator of the now -journals on ZDF.

From 19 March 2003 to 14 December 2005, he hosted the show adventure knowledge.

Social Commitment

Wolf of Lojewski involved as a sponsor of the Association of Heart Sick Children. He is since 1963 member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and from 1996 to 2008 at the Bureau of the German Protestant Church Congress.

Affinities

Wolf of Lojewski is not more closely related to the journalist and former director Günther von Lojewski. Both were born in Berlin; the fathers of both, and Erich Werner, were journalists and have known each other.
