Wolfgang H. Scholz

Wolfgang H. Scholz ( born October 5, 1958 in Dresden ) is a German painter, photographer and film director. He lives and works in Mexico City and Munich.

Life

Scholz grew up in an old family of artisans in Dresden. Beginning of the eighties he studied civil engineering and painting / graphics in Dresden. In addition, from 1987 to 1988 graphology from Ingeborg Rudolph in Leipzig. In 1989 he went to Munich, where he had from 1990 to 1991 a lecturer at the University of Television and Film ( HFF). He has worked for various television stations since 1992, including the Bavarian Radio, the Central German Radio, the Second German Television and ARTE. In 1994 he founded together with Meinhard Prill the production company Sic! Film GmbH and shot his first feature film " shade-seekers ", which describes his childhood in Dresden. His artistic work is conceptually tied in photography, multimedia installations and based on figurative painting. Unifying elements are movement, time and space, which inspired him to multimedia productions with dancers. 2001 Scholz went to Mexico City. He is married to the Mexican dancer, choreographer and director of the Centro Cultural " Los Talleres " Isabel Beteta De Cou in Mexico City.
