Wolfgang Pree

Wolfgang Pree (* June 27, 1964 in Linz) is an Austrian scientist and professor at the University of Salzburg.

Life

After the computer science degree and his doctorate sub auspiciis praesidentis 1992 at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, he habilitated there on software design ( design patterns, Eng. Design Patterns ). Pree was an assistant at the University of Zurich, Visiting Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, and a visiting scientist at Siemens AG in Munich.

Pree 1997 was appointed full professor at the University of Konstanz, 2002, he moved to the University of Salzburg. As part of sabbaticals he was at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Diego.

His area of ​​research is software engineering, with a focus on software engineering principles. The research projects focus at the time on real-time software in automobiles, aircraft and automation systems.
