Wolibórz

Woliborz ( German Volpersdorf ) is a village in the rural community of Nowa Ruda ( neurodegeneration ) in the powiat Kłodzki in Poland. It is located four kilometers east of Nowa Ruda at the Province Road 385, which leads into twenty kilometers to city Ząbkowice Śląskie ( Frankenstein ).

Geography

Woliborz is located in the southwestern foothills of the Owl Mountains. Neighboring towns are Przygórze in the north, Dzikowiec the southeast, Nowa Ruda in the west and Drogosław in the northwest. About the Silver Mountain Pass Przełęcz Srebrena over which the county border runs for powiat Ząbkowicki, Silver Mountain is reached.

History

Today's Woliborz was founded in the late 13th century as a Waldhufendorf by German colonists and named after the locator Volprechtsdorf. It belonged to Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation. In 1336 it was first mentioned in writing and at that time was to rule associated neurodegeneration, which was in the possession of Hans Wüstehube by Goldstein. He sold neurodegeneration and associated villages in 1347 to Hans von Donyn. For 1384 a parish church has been demonstrated. 1465 fell Neuroder possessions as a completed fief to the Bohemian King George of Podiebrad, the Bohemian knight Georg Still Fried Rattonitz gave the rule neurodegeneration. 1628 the Volpersdorfer Dominium from the reign neurodegeneration was spun off and sold to the Imperial Council of Johann Angelo Morganthe from which it passed in 1665 to Gisbert of the inhibitory and Hemmstein. Since about 1660 the district Zeilberge was a glassworks in operation for 1667 are shown for the glassmaker Georg Schurer and for 1680 the glass master Christian Preußler. The operation was probably discontinued at the end of the 1690s for unknown reasons.

After the Silesian Wars Volpersdorf fell in 1763, together with the county of Glatz after Hubertusburg peace to Prussia. In 1793 Volpersdorf Count Anton Alexander von Magni on Ecker village. Due to its success in raising sheep and innovations in the farms and the establishment of the " Neuroder coal and Tonwerke " Volpersdorf experienced an economic boom. Over time, the colonies Köpprich, forest land, Insert reason Glasehütte, Wustung and Ledeen developed. After the reorganization of Prussia Volpersdorf was since 1815 part of the province of Silesia, which was divided into counties. 1816-1853 County of Glatz, 1854-1932, the district neurodegeneration was responsible. After its dissolution in 1933 Volpersdorf belonged to 1945 turn to the district Glatz.

In 1900 Volpersdorf received railway connection to the owls mountain railway which led from Reichenbach Silberberg and Volpersdorf to central stones. From there was a connection to the mountain railway Dittersbach Glatz.

As a result of World War II Volpersdorf fell in 1945 to Poland and was renamed Woliborz. The German population was largely expelled in 1946. The newly settled inhabitants were themselves partly expellees from eastern Poland. 1975-1998 belonged to Woliborz Voivodeship Wałbrzych.

Due to its location on a vast forest area Volpersdorf is a popular starting point for hikes in the Owl Mountains. The lying in the district Volpersdorf mountain Hoher Stein is 815 m high.

Attractions

  • The first time in 1384 mentioned parish church is dedicated to St. James the Greater. Particularly noteworthy is the late Baroque Ship pulpit from 1780 shows three apostles who draw the filled with fishing net into the boat.; in the pulpit back wall there is a relief of the Good Shepherd and on the sounding board Moses is depicted with his sheep at the Burning Bush.
  • The chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara in the district Przygórze ( Köpprich ) was built from 1938 to 1939 for the enormous grown by Rudolf pit population. The altar and the benches are from the chapel of Glatzer Lyceum, which was otherwise used by the Nazis.
