Wollomombi River

The Wollomombi River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales.
Geography
The river rises on the eastern slopes of the Chandlers Peak in the Great Dividing Range, about 17 km south-east of Guyra It then flows south through the northern tablelands of New South Wales in the small town Wollomombi. From there, the river plunges over the Wollomombi Falls, which lie just to the west of the Chandler case. A little further opens the Wollomombi River at the northern tip of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park in the Chandler River.

History
Earlier called flow Wollomombi Creek or Rockvale Creek.
In December 1904 drowned Nellie Gardiner (18 years) and Fanny Kennedy (12 years) dip in Wollomombi River. Another lady, Mrs. Snipe, almost drowned also, as she wanted to save the two.
Agriculture
At the headwaters of the river calves and sheep are bred.
Trails
From the vantage point of Wollomombi If there are lovely walks along the gorge crashes Wollomombi River and Chandler River. A steep trail leads down also to the Chandler River.
